Hi,

Running Autopatcher for Windows 8 x64 today to update my files (aka APUP functionality) and it is coming up with an error. I have included below the relevant part of the log file.

Thanks for a wonderful program folks. Keep up the good work - it is appreciated :-)

cheers,
Paul

Hi paulsm :)

If I may, this thread offers tips on posting log files, see here - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=118 - it may also be best to post in the respective threads if it's a specific script, in this case Windows 8, see here - viewforum.php?f=24 - but it doesn't look like it matters really.

I can confirm this and a few other issues with 8.1x64...

* The DU log:
► Show Spoiler
* The IU log - /verbose:
► Show Spoiler
* Sweeper log:
► Show Spoiler
I wanted to provide all 3 logs only to point out that a single log wont always tell the whole story. It looks like for Win8.1x64, as far as I can tell... :mrgreen:

...KB3084905-x64 has either been superceeded or there's a version 2
...KB3058515-x64 is still included (signed) but was removed in July
...KB3060746 has an x86 apm and an x64 exe causing the "existing or loading order" issue

All duly noted Chris. Sorry I didn't provide all the logs. Will do so next itme (and post in the right place) :-)
Is it still necessary for me to post the logs or shall I just wait for the scripts to have the changes incorporated?

Cheers,
Paul

Wonderin', was 3084905 simply removed, nothin' replaced it?

Where did 3083711 come from - rhetorical question :) There appears to be a prerequisite.
Microsoft wrote:Update detail information

Prerequisites

To apply this update, you must have April 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (2919355) installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.

KB3084905 was removed from Windows Update and the manual download links were also removed by MS.

As for KB3083711 appeared in Windows Update on October 6, as far as the Prerequisites are concerned, KB2919355 should be already installed (was part of one of Update 1). If this isn't installed then most updates would fail as it is a required component.
