You know, that might have been the source of my problems with APUP too. I'm not positive but I may have downloaded 7 & 8 (x64) on my laptop at the library, and at school it was XP (x64, x86) and DirectX. 7 & 8 (https), the others (nada https). I did a bit of investigating, as best I can tell, from the main list - these are the https & non-https scripts.

Just thought I would add my 1.5 cents worth in....
Maybe it would be a good idea to hide the https scripts from APUP, say APUPVersion=2.0.0.

That would be a good idea, but from what I have seen doing the latest updates, it would appear that more of the software developers will move in this direction and as such it should be all the users of autopatcher to update in order to download the releases. All that will be left behind are those packages which are no longer updated and those who have no updated their websites.

I would go for APVersion= rather than APUPVersion=

true but apup doesn't recognize apversion. That would involve updating apup in which case its just as simple to add the appropriate changes to allow support for HTTPS in apup. Also... Honestly I didn't test functionality for AP and APUPVersion=XXX...

edit: Although I just did and it greyed out properly so it should work.

I can add in support for APVersion in the next release. APUP should silent error on reading that.

I figured since APUPVersion is already there, completely reliable or not, just add a version # higher than exists so atleast some of the problems reported with download errors could be mitigated by an edit to the releases list file :)
