About your Vista release... when you have time, and a bit more FYI to fill out the conversation:
*** Run AutoPatcher (per Wac, as admin), selecting only the Vista release. When the Vista script finishes, for good or for bad, if you would, post the AP log (unedited) with the Vista download details, hopefully something will stand out. Copy & Paste the text from the log using Spoiler. There's a button in the advanced editor but here's the code...
Code: Select all
[spoil] * Log File Text Here * [/spoil]
Sometimes running 'autopatcher.exe /verbose' provides a more helpful log. If you hate the EULAs, /nolicense. If you're uncertain how to run AP with switches, use either the RUN dialog or create a shortcut to ap.exe. Both AP & Sweeper have a help dialog, .exe /help or /? on either app to see more switches.
We might be able to grab the missing files directly then drop them manually into the Vista release -- but we need to consult the AP log first, after a Vista-Only run to see whats up. Again, possibly, we can Officialize the Vista release, if in fact it is Official???
*** You may have noticed the Release Info tab in AP, this is where you determine what is/isn't official -- see Options - Release Info. If possible, you want all releases to be True. Anything in RED needs addressing, and best to do it one script at a time. AP is perfectly usable if, for instance, you have Vista and Seven releases in \modules, Vista is unofficial but 7 is fine -- you can update a Seven system as Vista should be hidden. Still, it is always best to have all releases official and the most recent available assuming there's a current script!
*** As Wac has mentioned, turning off Windows Update before running AP might prevent some issues. IIRC, one is updates stalling or freezing during installation, before reaching 100% -- just keep it in mind. I would suggest turning the service off, rebooting (make sure the service didn't restart), then run AP. I know, pain in the butt!
