P.S. It's the same for Windows 8.1 (x86) as well as for Windows 7. I wonder if the problem is local to my PC

Might be something on your side since it seems to be working for me. Attach your log file and we can check it out.

Yikes! My bad. I thought I had attached the log, but instead it was the ini. And I didn't even notice.

I tried downloading another one, like the security addon and it worked fine.

strange... ohh your using apup. Apup doesn't allow for HTTPS connections. You need to switch to AP 6.1. You can get it from the front page or download it using apup.

Been there. Done that.
It works!
